Product Overview
Guanidine Sulfamate is a strong acid salt derived from guanidine and sulfamic acid, with a variety of applications in flame retardants, pharmaceuticals and industrial processes.
Due to its flame-retard property, Guanidine Sulfamate is used on textiles and plastics. It works by releasing ammonia and sulfur oxides when heated and therefore suppressing combustion. It can be used in polyurethane foams, coating and cellulose-based materials.
Guanidine Sulfamate is also the drug intermediate for synthesizing antimicrobials and antiviral agents.
In agriculture, Guanidine Sulfamate can degrade into sulfamic acid and act as a weed killer.
Moreover, Guanidine Sulfamate can be added to metal to inhibiting corrosion in cooling systems. It is also a curing agent for urea-formaldehyde resins.
