Product Overview
Benzocaine Hydrochloride is the hydrochloride salt form of Benzocaine. Its solubility in water is enhanced compared to the freebase form Benzocaine. It preserves the same anesthetic properties but is more suitable for certain cases in pharmaceutical and medical applications.
Similar to Benzocaine, it acts as a sodium channel blocker and inhibits nerve signal transmission to bring local numbness.
Besides the similar applications as Benzocaine, Benzocaine Hydrochloride can be used to lubricate catheters or endoscopes in certain procedures. In cosmetics, it can be used as a lip numbing agent or in hair removal products.
